fuck it

Chris and I spent a lazy day walking around Brooklyn before all the rain started.

After eating at Sun In Bloom, we walked through Boreum Hill where this amazing brownstone is covered in glittery mosaics.

We ended up at the Sugar Shack in Cobble Hill where I bought candy just on how cute it was (gummy pizza and chicken feet?!) and made myself sick in the process.

I've been wearing this Huf tank top non stop. I'm absolutely obsessed with it.

beyond the wedge

beyond the wedge

As a lot of you know, I love a good sneaker wedge, Nike in particular. But as they're becoming more common and rip-offs are becoming more prevalent I decided to look at other sneaker options. Living in Brooklyn means I do tons of walking so I need a comfortable flat. Here are a few of my favorite so far.

Maison Martin Margiela perforated shoes / Common Projects navy shoes / Ann Demeulemeester high top trainers, $775 / MM6 Maison Martin Margiela high top trainers / Mark McNairy New Amsterdam genuine leather boots / Keds print shoes / Vans canvas trainers, $145 / A.P.C. STORE, $195

heat wave

It's 90 degrees out and i'm still wearing jeans. Sorry, my legs aren't ready for summer. They are pretty much glow in the dark pale from the endless winter we had. Chris got me this rad bag from Rogue Territories that i'm absolutely obsessed with. It's the perfect size for all my stuff.....and it's camo. Over the summer I hate carrying a heavy, heat absorbing leather bag so I usually switch to a canvas bag.

Lately I've been way into Actual Pain shirts. They had a 50% off memorial day sale so Chris and I each grabbed some shirts. Weirdly I got this one because it reminded me of Oliver...if Oliver was a blood hungry hell hound instead of a jerky shiba inu.

I never go into urban outfitters. I work across the street for one and I never go in. I think it's partly because the one in Brooklyn is teeny tiny and never really has anything. Also, now that I'm 31, a lot of the stuff really isn't my style anymore.
Anyways....on a break from work I decided to walk over and found the cutest little necklaces. They were sold seperately but look awesome worn together. I don't ever wear gold but I love mixing it up in with my usual silver pieces.

odin 09 posala

odin 09

I've been a fan of odin's colognes for over three years, when I started stealing Christian's Odin 01 and Odin 04. I fell in love with Odin 09 when it was released last year, but the kinda steep price tag was a detorant. (It's a good $55 more than than others) It's described as "Smoky bourbon and star jasmine surface in a blend of Perique tobacco, resinous amber and purple iris for a floral bouquet." Over the weekend I finally bit the bullet and bought a bottle and I love it. It's perfect for summer and I wish I would have bought it sooner.

prabal gurung x target : back to nyc!

(Prabal Gurung x Target dress, Rag and Bone shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket)

After a few days in Florida and missing all the Nemo aftermath I'm back in New York and very happy to be home. I love Florida but I definitely missed my Juice Press habit and cold brewed coffee (yes, I drink it all year round). Not to mention missing Christian and the dogs. One of the upsides of Florida is I got to go to a suburban Target, which compared to the at Atlantic Terminal is absolute heaven. If you've ever been you'd understand.
I'm in love with the Prabal Gurung collection at Target. It was the first collection that I liked better in person than online. Usually it's a let down or fits weird so I was pleasantly suprised.

sunlight? what's sunlight?

(dress: from some random shop on bedford, shoes: rachel comey, jacket: marc by marc jacobs, knee socks: hansel from basel)

i feel like in the last two months there's been one day of sunlight. im getting sick of the cold, sick of pants and sick of coats. my trip to florida can't come soon enough, especially with all this blizzard talk. i decided to give my turban a break for a day and i'll admit it....i felt naked. i'm obsessed.

new nikes and new tattoos

(jeans:ksubi, shirt:urban outfitters, flannel:vintage, shoes: nike sky high wedge, sweater: uniqlo, jacket: marc by marc jacobs, turban: vintage)
lately i've been playing around and making my own crystal pendents. i love wearing the clear quartz piece because quartz is a healing crystal and will amplify energy and thought, as well as the effect of other crystals.  It also absorbs, stores, releases and regulates energy. It helps to  balance and revitalize the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes.

so sad i had to cut off my claws since i broke two of the nails. that and i was gauging out my eyes trying to take out my contacts everynight  and could hardly type or text.

seriously, im in love with nike sky high wedges. i have a problem.

my friend scott was in town from florida doing a guest spot at some tattoo shop in the east village and he did this amazing tattoo for me. the picture doesn't even do it justice and im so happy with it. chris got his throat and some of his chest done. it looks amazing.

sweet dreamz

I've been obsessed with dreamcatchers for a while. And now with Chris threatening to tattoo one on his neck I decided we need one for the house. I found all of these on amazon. My friend put up a heart shaped one up on Instagram and I knew that was exactly what I needed. I got the one on the top left and it can't come soon enough. Now off to the city to buy chakra stones, incense, and other magical things!

oh my!

Ooooh am I excited...and a little bit scared. I've been messing around with these Katy Perry Lashes (don't judge, I'm 31 and a big Katy Perry fan. Ask me how many times I've seen her movie.) for the past week and even though I havent *quite* mastered them, I'm in love. I think I need to watch a few more YouTube videos before I wear them out in real life. It's amazing how awesome fake lashes make your real ones look. I'll put pictures up as soon as I get them right.

xo!

need. now.

I know it's till winter. I know that it still gets dark at at 4pm in Brooklyn. But isn't that even more of a reason to dream of summer? And I need some new sunglasses! I'm obsessed with Quay eyeware. Everything is around $40 which is perfect because I have a nasty habit of losing/sitting on/scratching sunglasses.need. now.

Rainbow Brite!

I love these shoes. I hardly ever wear them because I feel like compared to my other sneaker wedges they're kinda big.
